Every Day locked in a small room, night after night entertaining people with numbers,
as standing on a small podium.
Traveling often every day to an other Town.
Far away from the open Savanne and family where the Elephants belong to.
How can anyone do that! And how can anyone support it!

Chained Misery
In Asia, shackling elephants in chains has been virtually universal for centuries.
Day after day, often with no shelter to escape the sun’s burning rays, elephants spend hours standing in the scorching sun,
legs shackled together in heavy chains that prevent them from moving more than a few inches in any direction.
The elephants are chained far enough from each other to deny them the comforting touch of another of their own kind.
Standing in their own waste, the elephants’ feet become diseased and painful from infected and necrotic tissue.
They suffer from crippling arthritis and rock, bob and sway, all captivity-induced stereotypic behaviors.
Many die sick and broken.
Asian Elephants are present in 13 countries in Asia,
including Thailand where between 2500 to 3200 wild elephants are found out of a total population
that is crudely estimated between 40,000 and 50,000.
The country is also home to an equally large domestic elephant population of between 3,000 and 4,000 animals,
most of which are used in the tourism industry. (TRAFFIC 2014)
Circuses that force animals to perform, such as UniverSoul Circus, are the cruelest shows on Earth!
Animals exploited in such performances are abused and punished daily.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world,
with more than 6.5 million members and supporters.
