What is Music to you.
Music certainly isn’t a universal language in the sense that you could use it to express any thought to any person on the planet.
But music does have the power to evoke deep primal feelings at the core of the shared human experience.
It not only crosses cultures, it also reaches deep into our evolutionary past. And it that sense, music truly is a universal language.
Music can appear "universal" because the strategies employed by different cultures to work within the limitations tend to have a lot in common with each other.
There's probably not a person on the planet that doesn't like at least some kind of music, even if it's the same three songs on repeat.
And we should love music! In fact, music is something we truly take for granted and it's painfully under-appreciated.
